Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal production operations. This role requires technical skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Electrical experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Prior experience with industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is essential. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults
- Repair or replace components using welding (<LOCATION> welding skills preferred), low/high voltage electrical experience, and mechanical expertise
- Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and assist with programming or troubleshooting as needed
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and manage inventory
- Conduct inspections using schematics and technical drawings to ensure machinery compliance with safety standards
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades while adhering to safety protocols
- Support HVAC/R systems maintenance, including HVAC units and associated controls
- Operate scissor lifts or other industrial equipment safely for access during maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following safety procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and precision measurement instruments
- Electrical experience including high voltage/low voltage systems, industrial electrician skills, and the use of multimeters such as ammeters and ohmmeters
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, CMMS software, and analysis skills for troubleshooting complex issues
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and ability to perform related maintenance tasks
- Ability to operate scissor lifts safely; OSHA certification is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors during field service activities
- Strong analytical skills combined with technical sales understanding are advantageous for identifying solutions that improve efficiency
- Military background or field service experience is considered beneficial due to disciplined approach and technical expertise

Pay: $29.00 - $30.00 per hour
