About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Assembly Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the production of complex switchgear and power distribution equipment. You will leverage your expertise in reading technical schematics and mechanical drawings to ensure high-quality assembly, while mentoring team members to drive operational excellence and meet critical project deadlines.
Responsibilities-
Assemble and wire intricate mechanical and electrical components for switchgear and breaker units based on detailed engineering specifications.

Perform rigorous in-process quality inspections to ensure all units meet strict performance standards and safety protocols.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff to foster a high-performing assembly team.

Conduct root cause analysis on engineering discrepancies and implement effective corrective actions.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to track material shortages and manage the final preparation of units for shipment.

Execute mechanical adjustments and ensure all hardware is installed according to precise design requirements.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious workspace, actively participating in all safety initiatives.
Qualifications-
4+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial assembly environment.

Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting single-line electrical schematics, three-line drawings, and mechanical blueprints.

Strong command of measurement conversions (fractional, decimal, metric, imperial) and technical documentation.

Proven ability to safely operate a wide range of hand and power tools.

Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights using appropriate fall protection equipment.

Experience utilizing manufacturing execution systems (MES) or ERP software like Oracle for part lookups and drawing retrieval.

Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding small teams or training personnel.

Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying process improvements and resolving technical discrepancies.
