As a Child Care Teacher in our organization, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and enjoyable experience for children in our care. You will work in a dynamic and family-like atmosphere, fostering children's growth, development, and love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Child-Centered Learning: Create a stimulating, age-appropriate curriculum that promotes the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of children in your care.
- Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Maintain a vigilant eye on all children and engage them in age-appropriate activities.
- Lesson Planning: Develop and implement daily lesson plans that include educational activities, playtime, arts and crafts, and physical activities to encourage skill development.
- Individualized Attention: Recognize and address the unique needs and abilities of each child. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Communication: Foster open and effective communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure that the classroom is organized, clean, and safe. Conduct regular safety checks and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Promote Positive Behavior: Implement positive discipline techniques and teach children social and emotional skills to build good behavior and self-regulation.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive work environment. Share ideas, resources, and experiences to enhance the overall quality of care.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education. Attend training sessions and workshops to improve your teaching skills.
- Fun and Engagement: Create an atmosphere of joy and excitement for children, encouraging a love for learning through creative and imaginative activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for nurturing young minds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check and relevant clearances as required by state regulations.
