We are seeking skilled and motivated Construction Technician with a strong emphasis on painting skills to join our team. The ideal candidates will assist in residential and/or commercial remodeling projects, including kitchen and bathroom renovations, room additions, flooring, painting, and other interior/exterior upgrades. This is a hands-on position requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all phases of remodeling projects under supervision.
- Demolish existing structures (walls, flooring, fixtures, etc.) as needed.
- Install drywall, flooring, trim, cabinetry, and other finishes.
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, tiling, or plumbing tasks based on skill level.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning, measuring, and organizing materials.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred; vocational training a plus.
- Experience in residential/commercial remodeling or construction is preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes and remodeling best practices.
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
Preferred Skills (but not required for entry-level roles):
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems.
- Experience with tile, drywall finishing, or cabinet installation.
- Reading construction drawings or using measuring tools (tape measure, level, square).
- Forklift or equipment operation.
