Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately determine client needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Provide specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring accuracy in medical terminology and coding.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient assessment, and treatment planning to optimize client outcomes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services while adhering to clinical standards.
- Engage in clinical research activities when applicable to enhance therapeutic techniques and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and social work principles.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults with disabilities, geriatrics or special populations such as autism spectrum disorder or chronic pain patients.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical documentation standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly across diverse client populations.
- Telehealth experience preferred; ability to adapt therapeutic techniques for virtual delivery is essential.
- Additional skills such as motivational interviewing, case management, group therapy facilitation, psychopharmacology knowledge, or research experience are highly valued. Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
