Sous Chef
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef/Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Lead food production efforts during service hours, coordinating with team members to meet customer demands efficiently.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a motivated and skilled team.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Enforce strict food safety sanitizing procedures and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen area.
- Assist in menu planning by contributing creative ideas that align with culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Oversee shift management duties such as scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining kitchens with strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Supervising experience in a restaurant or catering environment, demonstrating leadership in team management and shift oversight.
- Familiarity with banquet service, catering operations, and dietary department protocols is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations, sanitizing procedures, and inventory management practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service experiences.
- Prior experience in restaurant management or food service management roles is preferred; leadership qualities are essential for success in this position.
