Duties
- Lead the spa and nail department by supervising daily operations, ensuring high standards of service quality, safety, and sanitation are maintained at all times
- Perform advanced nail services including gel manicures, acrylic nail applications, nail extensions, and intricate nail art using color theory principles to enhance client satisfaction
- Deliver comprehensive skincare treatments such as facials, dermabrasion, esthetic laser treatments, body waxing, and eyelash extensions with precision and care
- Conduct pedicures and manicures while educating clients on proper nail care and maintenance techniques
- Manage retail sales by recommending appropriate products like nail care items, skincare products, hair extensions, and styling tools to boost revenue through upselling strategies
- Ensure strict adherence to salon safety protocols including disinfection procedures, sanitation standards, and disinfection of tools and workstations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide personalized recommendations, and foster long-term relationships
- Train staff on latest industry trends such as hair styling techniques, hair threading, barbering basics, and esthetic laser treatments to promote continuous skill development
- Maintain detailed records of treatments performed and client preferences for future reference
Experience
- Proven experience working as a professional nail technician or esthetician within a reputable beauty or spa environment
- Extensive knowledge of nail extensions (acrylics), gel manicures, pedicures, and advanced nail art techniques based on color theory principles
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols including sanitation practices and disinfection procedures for tools and workspaces
- Strong background in skincare treatments such as dermabrasion, laser therapy, waxing (body waxing), eyelash extensions, and hair styling techniques
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate clients on nail care routines and product recommendations
- Experience in retail sales with an understanding of retail math for upselling opportunities
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of service excellence
- Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing required; additional certifications in laser treatments or barbering are advantageous
