Lap of Luxury Pet Resort is a cage-free by day, kennel by night environment and has been pampering the pets of Wheaton for almost 14 years now . We are looking for pet care professionals who are passionate about dogs and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. We pride ourselves in giving personalized care, extra attention and having a team that loves the animals as much as their owners do.
Duties Include:

Providing love and comfort to ensure our dogs are comfortable during their stay.

Cleaning of kennels and monitoring all animal well being.

Ensure a safe and healthy environment by adhering to all our cleaning and sanitation rules.

Monitoring dog health and behavior and taking prompt and appropriate actions.

Responsible for taking all dogs in and out as needed.

Monitoring play, body language and social cues in groups of dogs, adapting to ensure the success of the animals stay, making any needed adjustments.

Shifts lengths are 6:45pm-7am

Looking for Monday and Wednesday night availability with more to follow
Requirements:
We are in search of an Overnight Team Member available to work 6:45pm-7am overnights.
Candidates should possess these qualities:

A passion for dogs and animal care.

Understanding and tolerance of animal behavior.

Comfortable handling of all sizes of dogs of all breeds and occasionally cats or other types of pets.

Must have the ability to handle groups of up to 15 dogs at a time.

A cheerful and positive attitude focused on teamwork.

Ability to work in an environment where you will experience constant standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, etc. for 6+ hours.

Ability to perform all cleaning duties such as mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, etc. to keep up with our cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable.

The ability to communicate appropriately with your team.

The capability of learning new skills, taking directions, and applying it independently.

Strong attention to detail.

Availability to work Weekends & Holidays.

High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
