Duties
- Perform thorough decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments, and other medical equipment using established aseptic techniques.
- Assemble, inspect, and package sterile medical instruments with precision to meet strict industry standards.
- Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, ensuring proper storage, tracking, and replenishment to prevent shortages.
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention management practices by implementing healthcare infection prevention and control measures across all tasks.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure all instruments are properly prepared for procedures, maintaining high standards of aseptic technique.
Requirements
- Sterile processing certification
- Proven experience in sterile processing, including medical instrument assembly, packaging, and sterilization procedures.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to understand the proper handling and reprocessing of various medical devices.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to surgical instruments and healthcare environments.
- Ability to operate specialized medical equipment used in sterilization and instrument reprocessing.
- Strong understanding of infection control principles, including healthcare infection prevention strategies and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills for inventory management and documentation accuracy.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
