We are Devine livings, a sober living home for women desiring to reach true sobriety and independence through structured living.
This is a special position, as you will be the direct contact to up to 6 residents who are newly sober. This is a position not just for free housing, but for people who actually desire to do a difference in the community. The women you will be overseeing have been through hell and back.
This position will give you direct management experience, you will see directly behind the scenes of what it takes to run a business, and we desire to build a real relationship with our house mentor writing a referral, inviting the house manager to all activities and just doing everything we can to see the house manager succeed as well.
You can very well have a career of your own, be in school, pretty much have a life on your own, you just need to make sure your good at being self led and can stay on track with the women each day.
You will be responsible for:
- Drug testing women 3-4 times/ week
-Keeping up with the residents locations, ensuring they go straight to work, their treatment, and home
-Upholding house rules to the highest standard and being a true example
-Ensuring women keep up with their chores
-Maintaining consistent communication with the owners
-Co Running a weekly 1 hour house meeting that goes over weeks wins, losses, and how we can stay improved and tightly ran as a home
- Help Facilitate intake/admissions process of new residents, being there for every new residents move in and giving a tour of house/overview of house rules
-Be there for every move out of residents, assuring they move out on time
Typical schedule
730am wakeup and ensure other women are woken up
9am-7pm Checking women's location ensuring they are at work, school, coffee shop, treatment or where they said they would be
7pm 3x week drug test everyone
10pm Enforce Curfew
12am Ensure lights out
You would do well in this position if:
- You have had a history of addiction and have overcame it, or a family member who you have seen go through it. (You have a personal tie to addiction)
- You have worked in a leasing office or been a past community manager
- You are a self starter who takes initiative and is not afraid to be stern, the women will RUN YOU OVER if not
- You have no problem picking up your phone at any time of day and night incase a resident or the house operator calls
- You really have a heart to serve and help the community
- You enjoy Entreprenuership and would like to learn more or build your own business (we have a program to teach and grow the women in Entreprenuership in which your more than welcome to be apart)
