Duties:
- Turn on your sacking machines upon arrival in the morning.
- Load film and make minor adjustments for proper operation. Calibrate as per operational standards. Logs are to be filled out accurately and timely during production.
- Add seasoning-if seasoning flavor needs changed throughout production. NOTE: the machines must be thoroughly cleaned when changing to seasoning or between different seasoning changes.
- Keep all logs completed which are associated with the machine you are responsible for.
- You are responsible for your machine – if there is a problem, you must follow through and fix it or get help.
- Check weights of product throughout the day.
- Get re-work from downstairs for re-run.
- Keep re-run buckets clean.
- Keep roll stock room in order and floor swept.
- Wash your hands anytime you leave your workstation or if you touch your nose, mouth, eyes, or ears.
- Do not wear jewelry or false nails, or nail polish. Shirts with sleeves must be worn at all times on production days. Hair nets and beard nets must be worn at all times in production areas.
- Working in other areas of production such as Peeling, Picking and Packing (see job descriptions for these areas).
- Be a backup in filtering shortening and cleaning kettle paddles.
- At the end of day, put away all equipment.
- If running a flavor machine you are responsible for letting supervisor know if you need seasoning brought up before start of production.
- Cleaning – during production and end of day:
- Sacking machines
- Overhead conveyor, Inspection conveyor, and any other conveyor
- Bucket elevator
- Floors, walls and ladders
- Top of chutes
- Upstairs sink
- Any special cleaning projects as assigned by management.
