Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure accurate documentation.
- Measure vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, X-ray procedures, and basic life support during emergencies.
- Assist office manager in organizing Spravato program.
- Support hospital medicine units or outpatient clinics by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and coordinating follow-up care.
- Perform basic physiology and anatomy assessments to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Assist in laboratory procedures or radiology when required, including specimen collection or equipment setup.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards in inpatient or outpatient settings.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in diverse healthcare environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of dermatology, urgent care, emergency medicine, medical-surgical practices, and internal medicine workflows.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in ICD coding for accurate billing and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, X-ray imaging, vital signs collection, and patient intake procedures.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology combined with excellent patient service skills to foster trust and comfort.
