Overview
Our team is looking to add a part-time Shipping Clerk to our transportation/logistics deptartment. If you are looking for a part-time job in the New Haven IN area this could be the job for you. We are a post industrial plastic recycler with our own fleet of drivers. We take pride in ensuring safe and ontime deliveries of our outbound and inbound loads.
Duties
- Prepare and process outbound shipments using shipping & receiving procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Update and maintain all maintenance equiptment books/logs.
- Answer incoming phone calls.
- Intake and greet drivers daily.
- Create paperwork for all loads.
- Produce outside trucking freight quotes when needed.
- Keep all paperwork organized for processing.
- Assisting dispatcher with scheduling.
- Assit with weighing loads on our onsite scale.
- General filing/Clerical duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order fulfillment, packing techniques, and order picking procedures.
- Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for maintaining precise records.
- Customer service orientation with effective communication skills to assist team members and support smooth logistics workflows
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
