LED Executive Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Bus Mechanic to join our growing on-site maintenance team. This role is responsible for keeping our diesel motorcoach bus fleet running safely and reliably through preventative maintenance, scheduled service, DOT inspections, and compliance repairs.
The position is full-time with flexible hours based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel buses according to schedules and manufacturer standards
- Complete scheduled maintenance and repairs as needed
- Conduct DOT inspections and address any items required for compliance
- Maintain accurate work records and ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and meet quality/safety expectations
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic tools required for the job
Preferred Experience & Certifications
- Experience performing maintenance on diesel buses or heavy-duty vehicles
- Experience with DOT inspection procedures
- ASE certifications (preferred, especially related to heavy truck/bus systems)
- Knowledge of brake systems, air systems, suspension, steering, and engine/emissions systems
- Familiarity with required documentation, compliance standards, and safe shop practices
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly pay based on experience
- 90-day probationary period
