A well-established Carolinas construction manager is hiring a Construction Superintendent in Charleston. Broad commercial and healthcare portfolio across both states, steady growth, and a strong reputation for looking after its people.
This one's more flexible on sector than most — healthcare, higher education or similar commercial experience all count. If you've got a strong commercial background and fancy a fresh project on the coast, it's worth a look.
On site you'll own building layout and control, coordinate and lead subcontractor meetings, drive quality and safety, and keep the job moving in line with the contract documents.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years in commercial construction, most of it as an assistant superintendent or superintendent
- Healthcare, higher education or comparable commercial sector experience
- Strong on building layout and control
- Comfortable with iOS apps for blueprint navigation and review
- Confident with document change and RFI management
- Able to produce and update detailed schedules in Microsoft Project, plus the usual MS Office tools
- OSHA 30
- A genuine on-site leader who can run meetings, mentor others and work well with owners and designers
This is commercial work — purely residential backgrounds won't be a fit.
