We are looking fora contract Institute Program Coordinator to join our growing team at Project Success. Project Success is a youth development nonprofit organization that helps students connect to their purpose. Institute Program Coordinators support students as they build critical life and career skills through Project Success Institute programming. They are responsible for making sure evening programming runs smoothly by assisting with preparation, execution, cleanup, and reporting.
This independent contractor position supports evening Certificate classes and/or Best Buy Teen Tech Center programming on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:30 – 7:00 PM, starting September 28th, 2026.
This role will require strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work as a member of a team. Our ideal candidate is looking to develop skills in youth work and/or education. They have experience working with young people, an ability to build relationships, and are consistent, dependable, and reliable.
CONTRACT RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Support
- Support the preparation and execution of Project Success Institute programming
- Set up program materials, track attendance, provide hands-on support, and assist with cleanup
- Support the communication of safety protocols to all participants
- Support the coordination of volunteers in the space
- Prepare detailed program reports for the Institute Programs team, as requested
- Support the implementation of evaluation practices within each Institute program
- Continuously adapt to student needs to allow them to fully participate in programming
- Encourage a safe, accessible, and inclusive environment for staff, students, volunteers, and contractors
- Support student access to Institute programming by providing transportation, when needed and able
- Escalate any student behavior issues to the Senior Program Manager – Institute to ensure safety and respect to students, staff, volunteers, and contractors
Required Training
Time: September 17th from 4-7 PM
Location: Project Success building (1 Groveland Terrace, Minneapolis, MN 55403)Topics: Roles & responsibilities, student best practices, and safety
Attendance is required for all contractors. A training stipend will be provided for attending.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
- High school degree or GED required
- 1+ years of experience working directly with students in an education or youth development setting
- Experience working with young people from a variety of backgrounds
- Strong and detail-oriented communication, listening, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, written and verbal
- Tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft 365 - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Self-motivated, extremely reliable, ability to work with clear instruction
- A commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of Project Success
- Must be able to pass a background check
POSITION DETAILS
This is an independent contractor position supporting our Fall Certificate classes and/or Best Buy Teen Tech Center programming that takes place from 3:30 – 7:00 PM at the Project Success building starting September 28th, 2026. We are currently looking for someone to support Monday and Tuesday evening programming.
- $21 per hour
- Expected to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts per week.
- Shifts range from 2.5 – 4 hours, depending on the program being supported.
Fall Semester
September 28 – December 17 (No class – October 14 & November 25)
Winter Semester
January 11, 2026 – March 25, 2026 (No class – March 10)
Spring Semester
April 12, 2026 – June 10, 2026
