Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial areas, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents
- Implement proper sanitation procedures to ensure all surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas meet health standards
- Conduct laundry services as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to proper handling protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
- Use janitorial supplies responsibly, monitor inventory levels, and report needs for replenishment
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning requirements and address any special requests or concerns
Experience
- Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation procedures
- Hands-on experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools
- Knowledge of cleaning detergents and safe handling practices for various chemicals
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for roles involving exterior maintenance or outdoor spaces
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
