Qualifications
3+ years minimum Freight Forwarding specific experience required
Self-motivated with the ability to establish priorities and work independently
Understand and comply with import & export regulations
Excellent time management skills with the ability to continuously multi-task to meet deadlines
Adequate problem solving
Professional customer service client interactions on telephone and email with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and provide input for continuous improvement
Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
Potential to accept on-going training and changes as we continue to grow together
Computer skills: Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft 365, & experience in CargoWise is a plus.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while overseeing all aspects of international shipments
Being an integral role in operations; understanding and identifying customers’ requests
Respond to requests in a timely manner with accurate information
Understand costs and revenue to properly protect charges on every job
Responsible for AES export filings when applicable
Handling shipments from A to Z with a high level of attention to detail and white-glove service requirements with the ability to follow standard company operating procedures
Making sure all shipments are properly alerted, routed, tracked, traced until arrival at its final destination and keeping customers and associated parties always informed
The ability to recognize, research and solve any issues regarding discrepancies
Quoting customers, understanding, and providing the best-routing solutions
Work closely with carriers/partners to obtain best/special rates or spot quotes on every job possible
Obtaining vendor charges and auditing for accuracy and legitimacy
Assist others with workload, as needed
