Job Summary
We are seeking a personable and highly organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our small education and disability rights law firm. You will serve as the first point of contact for potential clients and provide comprehensive administrative support to our staff. It is imperative that you are personable, organized, a self-starter, and able to effectively work from home.
Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls accurately and courteously using proper phone etiquette.
- Take intakes of potential new clients.
- Handle incoming correspondence with attention to detail.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems ensuring easy retrieval of documents.
- Support calendar management by scheduling appointments, phone calls, and meetings efficiently.
- Assist with office management duties including drafting engagement letters to clients and record request letters.
- Coordinate with team members on administrative projects to enhance the team’s overall productivity and workflow.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members alike.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively using time management skills while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing multi-line phone systems and demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Clerical experience with familiarity in filing systems, proofreading documents, and handling administrative tasks efficiently.
- Ability to effectively work from home.
- Some knowledge of education law preferred.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
