We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within a fast-paced medical environment. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting healthcare professionals in a pain management clinic. Your expertise in medical terminology and patient service will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Prepare patients for X-Ray procedures and assist in the imaging process.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories.
- Administer basic life support as needed and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting to optimize service delivery.
- Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care, particularly in surgical settings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of care in both medical-surgical and urgent care environments.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.
- Experience in a pain management setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) techniques.
- Familiarity with pain practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to various specialties.
- Ability to perform X-Ray procedures is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
