Position Summary
The Electrical & AV Project Manager is responsible for overseeing residential electrical projects from pre-contract (estimating) through to job completion. The PM will coordinate with company and client leadership and Field Managers to ensure accurate, timely, efficient, and high-quality project execution. This role blends trade expertise with back office and operational coordination - managing suppliers, materials delivery, manpower, schedules, estimates, and more. Ideal candidate will be self-driven and tech-forward, not just using existing systems, but developing and building the systems needed to support the company as we grow. The role is ideal for an electrical professional who has already operated in project management, estimating, field coordination or General Contractor relationship-building.
The Electrical & AV Project Manager works closely with President and Field Ops Managers to ensure that jobs are billed/contracted and invoiced accurately, planned effectively, executed efficiently, and tracked accurately. At any given time, the PM may be at different phases of the construction process with anywhere from 10-20 projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Resource Coordination
- Coordinate project bids, estimates and budgets.
- Review plan sets and build schedules. Support take offs where needed. Distribute to field leadership.
- Coordinate execution plans including manpower, staging, and material/equipment needs with input from Field Managers.
- Submit staffing and material requests to the President. In some cases, procure equipment directly through company channels.
- Collaborate with Field Managers and technicians to establish clear daily work plans and expectations.
- Ensure jobs are properly staged to start on schedule with required materials, tools, and documentation.
Execution & Oversight
- Support Field Managers across multiple active projects across Electrical and AV SOWs to ensure successful project execution.
- Communicate directly with Field Managers to ensure any changes on site are reflected back into change orders, resource planning, material orders, etc.
- Change Orders: Create, submit, get approval, track execution.
- Conduct occasional site walks to check progress, resolve issues, and maintain field operations relationships.
- Coordinate scheduling and staffing for both rough-in and finish phases of construction projects.
- Track daily field progress and support Field Managers in maintaining real-time punch lists to drive timely project closeout. Prepare daily status updates. Ensure projects are kept precisely up to date in Project Management Software at all times.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of daily reports by field teams.
- Provide immediate notification of delays, risks, or unexpected changes impacting job performance to senior leadership. Present risk mitigation opportunities and solution sets.
Process
- Create and improve SOPs, standards, project workflows, communication processes, and operational systems. Evaluate and support implementation of new technological platforms where needed.
Qualifications:
Technical
- 3-5+ years of PM experience in the Electrical or AV trade, including crew or project management. Knowledgeable about construction process/phases including pre-build, underground, rough, and finish.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications a plus.
- History of working directly with General Contractors, estimators, project managers, vendors, and field teams.
- Experience creating SOPs, labor planning processes, or project management workflows.
- On-the-job usage of relevant digital tools, communication platforms, and estimating/project documentation systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.

Compensation & Benefits:
Pay
- $90k to $120k/yr depending on experience.

- In office 4 days a week, on location 1 day a week with flexibility to WFH occasionally as needed.
