Special Education Teacher / LBS-1 - IMMEDIATE START - (Rogers Park). Full-time. PACTT is looking for a special education teacher to join our dynamic elementary teaching team. This role provides assistance to students with autism in a fully integrated educational program at a therapeutic day school. Special Education Teachers provide direct support to students in the areas of academics, socialization, communication, independent living, and vocational skills. Our low staff-to-student ratio and small class sizes allow for regular small group and individual instruction. Related services (Speech Therapy, Occupational therapy and Social Work) are integrated into our classroom and community experiences. Teachers are supported by one or more Paraprofessionals based on the number of students in their classroom. Experience with students with autism preferred. ISBE LBS-1 Special Education License required.
