Victory Surfaces custom makes and installs everything from countertops and bathtubs to stone tables of any size and unique, show stopping fountains.
Position Overview
Victory Surfaces is seeking a skilled and experienced Bridge Saw Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience operating a bridge saw and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and precision in stone fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Measuring and marking the stone slab according to cut specifications.
- Setting up the stone on the saw bed and securing it safely.
- Programming or manually operating the saw to cut the stone to the required dimensions and shapes.
- Monitoring the cutting process to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Maintaining the machine, including blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning.
- Inspecting finished pieces for quality and precision.
- Following safety protocols to prevent accidents and damage.
Skills and Requirements
- Familiarity with stone types and their cutting properties.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, or CAD files.
- Strong attention to detail for precise measurements.
- Physical strength and stamina, as the job may require handling heavy slabs.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and layout plans.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience using a bridge saw.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
- Work prolonged hours and in confined areas
- Work in extreme temperatures (–20°F to 120°F)
- Wear full PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
- Climb ladders and operate aerial lifts
- Lift/carry 50+ lbs (help required for heavier loads)
- Push/pull up to 120+ lbs
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, reaching, and crawling
- Drive using both hands and feet
