About the Position
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a collaborative elementary school team near Vinton, VA. This full-time position provides an opportunity to work with students in kindergarten through fifth grade, helping them develop the speech and language skills necessary for academic achievement, social interaction, and lifelong success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for elementary-aged students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and small group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Recommend classroom strategies and accommodations to support communication development.
- Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active state SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Department of Education certification or ability to obtain, as required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
