Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Service Manager to join our team. The Service Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the appliance service department, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, efficient scheduling, and high-quality repair work. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and strong organizational skills to manage service technicians, coordinate repairs, and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Answer service department phone
- Schedule and prioritize service calls to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Create service tickets and reschedule as needed
- Order and stock various parts
- Help customers find and order parts for self-install
- Manage payments from customers and vendors
- File warranty claims
- +/- Perform repairs on drop off appliances
- Support a team of appliance service technicians
- Oversee diagnosis and repair of major home appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, etc.)
- Maintain accurate service records and parts inventory
- Communicate with customers regarding service issues, estimates, and timelines
- Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer requirements, and local regulations
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of appliance diagnostics and repairs is preferred
- Previous experience as a service technician, service manager, or in a similar role is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to load and unload products, including lifting heavy item
- Proven ability to lead a team, manage schedules, and resolve conflicts
- Excellent verbal and written communication with both staff and customers
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
We offer competitive pay and benefits for this position including performance bonuses and health, dental, and vision insurance. This is an 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday position in our main building.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
