Job Description
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to join our shop team. This position starts with cleaning small parts from commercial pancake machines commonly used in hotels and restaurants, while learning how the machines operate.
The cleaning work is detailed and repetitive and requires patience and attention to detail. After approximately 2–4 weeks of training, you will begin learning how to repair and retro-fit the machines.
The goal is to become fully trained in cleaning parts, retro-fitting and repairing machines, and testing machines for proper operation and quality control.
Responsibilities
Cleaning & Training
- Clean small machine parts and heater-plate assemblies.
- Perform detailed cleaning using toothbrushes, small picks, and compressed air.
- Learn how the machines and their components operate.
- Inspect parts for cleanliness, wear, and damage.
Parts may include:
- Splash guards
- Drip trays
- Heater-plate assemblies
- Keypad covers
- Heat baffles
- Fan filters
Repair & Retro-Fitting
- Learn to diagnose machine problems.
- Use the shop computer to look up diagnostics and determine the reason for part replacement.
- Replace and repair machine components.
- Perform retro-fitting on machines.
- Use basic hand tools and a small hand drill.
- Test machines after repairs to ensure proper operation and quality.

- Belt sensors
- Belt motors
- Stepper motor assemblies
- Lid, end/home, and over-heat switches
- Large and small fans
- Fuse holders and fuses
- Power cords
- Solid-state relays

Qualifications
- Dependable and reliable

- Previous mechanical, maintenance, or repair experience is a plus, but not required
