Accurate Drilling Systems, Inc. is an underground utility contractor specializing in trenchless technology, horizontal directional drilling, and related underground infrastructure services. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated individual who is interested in learning the underground utility construction industry and developing a career in project management.
Position Overview
Accurate Drilling Systems, Inc. is seeking an Entry-level Project Management Intern to assist our project management team with the planning, coordination, and administration of underground utility projects.
No previous underground utility or project management experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, organized, comfortable using a computer, and willing to learn both the office and field sides of the construction industry.
The internship is intended to provide hands-on training and may lead to a permanent full-time position based on performance and company needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
- Help maintain project files, documentation, reports, and schedules
- Perform data entry and organize project information
- Assist with material tracking, quantities, and project costs
- Help prepare bids, estimates, submittals, and other project-related documents
- Review construction plans and specifications with guidance from the project management team
- Visit active job sites to learn underground utility construction operations
- Assist with tracking project progress and daily activities
- Communicate with project managers, field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and clients
- Assist with permits, utility coordination, and project paperwork
- Learn company safety procedures and construction requirements
- Perform general administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- No previous construction experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Comfortable using computers and willing to learn new software
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Dependable and willing to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to occasionally visit construction job sites
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- English and Spanish communication skills preferred
Students pursuing degrees or certifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or related fields are encouraged to apply, but a specific degree or field of study is not required.
