Education/Experience:
- Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) in an engineering or technical field, with at least 2 years in an Inspection Supervisor role; or equivalent combination of education, experience or certification.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, plan, organize, schedule, assign, review, and evaluate the work of staff.
- Make sound independent decisions within established policy and procedural guidelines.
- Ability to read construction drawings, alignment sheets and translate to actual field constructability.
- Ability to write and/or provide significant input into technical/procedural documents, including the Inspection Operations manual.
IT/IS Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, document and database software (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop). Knowledge and use of digital cameras and photo media programs required.
Work Environment:
An employee in this position typically works in a field environment, with daily exposure to a full spectrum of weather and climate variables. Office time is limited.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds. The vision requirements include ability to adjust focus, distance vision and close vision. Travel is requirement is up to 50%, dependent on assignment location and duration.
