Job Summary
A local lumber company in Redmond is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to assist with daily cleanup, organization, and seasonal purging throughout the lumber yard. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and staying active throughout the day.
This is a temporary position with potential for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, comfortable working outdoors, and able to perform physical labor in a lumber yard environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleanup and housekeeping throughout the lumber yard.
- Assist with seasonal purging, organizing, and removal of excess materials.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Sort, move, and organize lumber and other materials as directed.
- Assist yard staff with general labor and material handling tasks.
- Remove debris, scrap materials, and other unwanted items from work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous general labor, warehouse, lumber yard, construction, or material handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials safely.
- Safety-conscious with good attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
