Who We Are:
Norwalk Sports & Spine is a multi-disciplined, comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation facility with a focus on chiropractic care. We are conveniently located on Route 7 between the DMV and Merritt Parkway. We offer a full range of specialties to promote overall health and wellness, including chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, Graston myofascial release, nutrition, physiotherapy, and therapeutic modalities.
Current Opportunities:
We are expanding and looking for a qualified and passionate physical therapy assistant to help with patient care and rehabilitation.
*This is a great opportunity for a student that is studying physical therapy or physical therapy assistance, chiropractic medicine, exercise science or is looking to fulfill an internship for school.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
-Therapeutic exercises and stretches with patients.
- Assist the chiropractor with patient assessments and treatments
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling patient records
- Educate patients on prescribed exercises and therapies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic
Experience:
-Experience with exercise, strength training, fitness, is preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is a plus.
- Strong patient service skills and personality
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques
