We are currently hiring for Engineer II (Maintenance) Tuesday - Saturday 3:30p - 12a
What you will be doing:
Maintain the guest rooms, public space and back of the house areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, landscaping, janitorial, wall covering and masonry to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Handle and complete immediate Guests’ problems via radio from Guest Service Agents.
- Contact PBX Operator upon completion of work assigned. Complete any new and/or ongoing projects assigned by the Director Of Engineering or his Assistant.
- Assists other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program.
- Assists other department team members with a variety of Landscaping and Janitorial duties to keep the Property in good appearance.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Due to the nature of the business the individual may be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the manager/director, including but not limited to shop cleaning, renovations, and labeling of hazardous materials.
- Maintains inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
- Reports major repairs and items that cannot be repaired to Dispatch and if necessary, place room out of order.

The employee must constantly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds- 125 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
What we are looking for:
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required plus one year experience in a customer service and maintenance industry preferred.
- At least 2 years experience in maintenance/construction trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
