We handle a large volume of both residential and commercial real estate transactions, working closely with lenders, realtors, buyers, and sellers.
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our team in Newport, RI as a Pre-Closer & Closer. This role is primarily focused on pre-closing / processor work, with the ability to step into closing responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in handling all aspects of real estate closings.
Must-Haves
- 3+ years of real estate paralegal experience (residential and commercial).
- Proficiency with SoftPro or similar closing software.
- Working knowledge of title commitments, settlement statements, and closing procedures.
- Experience with real estate closings in RI, MA, and/or CT.
Responsibilities
Pre-Closing / Processor Work (Primary Focus):
- Open new real estate files and manage case workflow.
- Order and review title examinations.
- Obtain tax information, payoff statements, and municipal lien certificates.
- Prepare and issue title commitments and title updates.
- Communicate and coordinate with lenders, realtors, and opposing counsel.
- Track deadlines and ensure files are moving toward timely closings.
Closing Responsibilities:
- Prepare closing and settlement statements (proficiency in SoftPro helpful, but not required).
- Coordinate and schedule closings with all parties.
- Handle disbursements of funds and post-closing follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with lender closing instructions.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
