Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and engaging Host to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a Host, you will set the tone for our guests’ dining experience by offering a warm welcome, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of seating in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a busy front-of-house environment. Weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception: Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, and promptly seat them based on their preferences and availability.
- Reservation Management: Handle phone and online reservations efficiently, ensuring that guest seating arrangements meet their needs and preferences.
- Waitlist Management: Manage the waitlist effectively during busy periods, providing accurate wait times and maintaining clear communication with guests.
- Communication: Serve as the liaison between the front-of-house and back-of-house staff, ensuring smooth and efficient communication regarding guest arrivals and special requests.
- Guest Experience: Provide guests with menus and information about the restaurant’s offerings. Address any questions or concerns with courtesy and professionalism.
- Table Coordination: Monitor dining room activity to optimize seating arrangements and minimize wait times. Ensure that tables are prepared and ready for guests in a timely manner.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and guest preferences. Assist with special event planning and coordination as needed.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the host stand and surrounding areas organized and presentable. Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Host or in a customer-facing role in a high-end or upscale casual dining environment preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a calm demeanor during peak times.
- Appearance: Professional appearance suitable for an upscale casual dining environment.
- Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
