We're hiring a Maintenance Coordinator to run the maintenance side of our growing property management business in Dallas-Fort Worth. This is a senior, hands-on field role — not a desk job, not a corporate ops role.
You'll be the guy we send when something needs to get handled. Some days you'll fix it yourself in 10 minutes. Other days you'll bring in our plumber, HVAC tech, or roofer and manage the job to completion. You'll talk to owners, calm down tenants, and keep the whole maintenance operation moving.
What you'll do:
- Drive across DFW daily visiting our properties — company truck and gas card provided
- Walk vacant and occupied units, report condition, take photos
- Handle small repairs on the spot when it saves us a vendor callout — flappers, GFCI resets, disposals, cabinet doors, drywall patches, smoke detectors, locksets
- Manage and coordinate our maintenance tech and outside vendors (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, painting) on bigger jobs
- Talk directly with property owners, tenants, and our office team — schedule visits, follow up, close the loop
- Install and remove rental / for-sale signs as needed
- Respond to real emergencies (water leaks, lockouts, AC failures) when they happen
- Report to our Dallas office every morning before heading out
Who we're looking for:
- 10+ years hands-on maintenance, handyman, or property experience
- Mature, level-headed, confident under pressure
- Knows what he can fix in 5 minutes vs. what needs a licensed pro
- Strong people skills — calms a screaming tenant, negotiates with a vendor, updates an owner in the same afternoon
- Organized — can juggle 5+ properties and combine errands efficiently
- Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record
- Conversational English required. Spanish, Hebrew, or Russian a plus
- Smartphone-comfortable — photos, WhatsApp, Google Maps, basic apps
- Owns basic hand tools and can bring them day one
