Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Millwright/Welder to join our growing team in Modesto. This position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson with a strong mechanical background and hands-on welding experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and fabricating industrial machinery and equipment while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities
- Install, align, assemble, and dismantle industrial machinery and equipment according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades to maximize machine performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, and complete necessary repairs or component replacements.
- Fabricate, weld, and assemble metal components using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Operate welding, fabrication, and metalworking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect machinery and completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as both a Millwright and Welder in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of fabrication and metalworking practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including standing, kneeling, climbing, and working in various environments.
Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
