Sherman's: Proudly Not Normal Since '76 (and Counting!)
Forget everything you think you know about retail. Back in '76, while the world was doing its thing, Sharon Sherman was busy building something different – a side hustle selling clocks and gifts with a whole lot of heart. Fast forward nearly half a century, and Sherman's has blossomed into four locations packed with home appliances, furniture, and mattresses.
Sure, we've grown beyond microwaves, but our family values? Rock solid. Show Concern. Have Fun. Be Helpful. Demonstrate Integrity. Show Ambition. Develop Relationships. These aren't just words on a wall; they're the fuel that keeps us going.
Now, about you.
You’re the person friends call when something needs fixed.
Maybe you've worked in maintenance, construction, manufacturing, or another hands-on trade. Or maybe you've just always been the type of person who likes to build, fix, and figure things out.
You don't pretend to know everything. In fact, you'd rather ask a question than guess. You understand that getting it right is more important than protecting your pride.
You're dependable, pay attention to the little details, and enjoy working alongside people who genuinely help one another.
Most importantly, you're looking for a team where people leave their egos at the door, work hard, laugh often, and are always willing to learn something new.
About the Role
This isn't one of those maintenance jobs where you get assigned one building and spend every day changing light bulbs. There is variety in your workday here.
One day you might be repairing drywall, rewiring a showroom’s light fixtures, or helping with a remodel. The next, you could be tackling preventative maintenance, responding to a repair request, or working alongside another technician on a larger project. Some jobs are simple. Some will stretch your skills.
Either way, you'll never be expected to know everything.
What we do expect is someone who's collaborative, asks questions, learns quickly, and is always willing to grow.
You'll be joining a tight-knit maintenance team that shares knowledge and believes the best technicians never stop learning.
We work hard, joke with each other, help each other, and celebrate wins together. Everyone pitches in. Nobody is above sweeping the floor or lending a hand when another teammate needs help.
If that sounds like your kind of team, you'll fit in well here.
