Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all legal, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies and identify potential drug interactions.
- Manage pharmacy inventory efficiently, including stock replenishment, compounding medications, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
- Administer immunizations
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Support pharmacy technicians by supervising medication preparation, inventory management, and ensuring workflow efficiency within the pharmacy setting.
Experience
- Prior experience working in community pharmacy is preferred but not required
- Experience with Computer Rx is preferred but not required
- Experience with Scriptpro is preferred but not required
