Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Helper to assist our delivery team in providing exceptional service to our customers. The Delivery Helper will work closely with the Delivery Driver to ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires physical stamina, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Delivery Driver in loading and unloading products from the delivery vehicle.
- Ensure that all items are securely loaded and organized for transport.
- Help navigate delivery routes and communicate with the driver regarding any changes or updates.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from customers.
- Handle heavy lifting of packages and equipment as needed, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used.
- Operate a pallet jack safely to move large items when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and warehouse area.
- Support the team in moving items within the warehouse as required.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients during deliveries.
- Ability to drive and navigate effectively in various environments.
- Experience with pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Capability for heavy lifting, as the role involves moving large packages regularly.
- Familiarity with commercial driving practices is beneficial but not required.
- Experience in moving or logistics can enhance performance in this role.
- Proficiency in loading and unloading techniques to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations will be advantageous for this position.
- Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission is preferred but not mandatory.
