Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cooks to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the preparation of dishes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be respectful, punctual, able to follow simple kitchen procedures, and have the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping/slicing vegetables, portioning foods, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including fryers, grill, slicer, knives and other culinary tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
- Complete opening/closing check lists.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department, catering service, restaurant, or dining establishment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Proficiency in using knives and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- A passion for the food industry and a desire to grow within the culinary field.
Currently hiring for Dinner Shift. Some training will be during Lunch Shifts.
Lunch - 10am to 4pm
Dinner - 4pm to 11pm
$15 to start (experienced applicants may start @ higher wage) plus daily tip share $2-$4/hr. Thats $17-$19 per hour!
