Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Armed Security Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding property, personnel, and assets by enforcing security protocols and responding swiftly to incidents. Your expertise in law enforcement, conflict management, surveillance, and emergency response will be essential in maintaining a secure environment. Responsibilities
- Patrol designated premises regularly to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems and other security technology to detect potential threats or irregularities
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency responders as needed
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and calmness, de-escalating disputes effectively
- Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs accurately and promptly
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and reporting findings appropriately
Qualifications
- Valid firearms license and experience in operating armed security equipment
- Background in law enforcement, military service, or related security fields preferred
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and alarm monitoring systems
- Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications are a plus
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure
- Experience in loss prevention or retail security is advantageous
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during shifts
