About Us:
Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee is expanding from mobile service to a full brick-and-mortar café. We serve a variety of specialty beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, teas, lemonades, and seasonal favorites. We pride ourselves on friendly service, quality drinks, and creating a positive atmosphere for both team members and customers.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. This role involves preparing beverages, engaging with customers, operating a POS system, maintaining cleanliness standards, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming, positive experience
- Prepare hot, iced, and specialty beverages to recipe standards
- Set up, maintain, and break down drink and service areas
- Handle cash and card transactions through the POS system
- Restock inventory and supplies throughout the shift
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with opening and closing duties daily
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to reliably commute to Alpharetta, GA 30009
- Available Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a standard background check
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous barista, café, restaurant, customer service, or drive-thru experience
- Experience making espresso-based beverages
- Experience working in fast-paced service environments
