Position Summary
MC Consultants is seeking a National Practice Leader for Accident Reconstruction to provide firmwide leadership in vehicle accident analysis and reconstruction. This role is designed for a highly experienced expert with deep technical expertise, strong courtroom presence, and proven leadership in building and scaling forensic practices.
The National Practice Leader serves as a lead testifying expert, technical authority, and strategist, responsible for advancing MC’s capabilities, consistency, and national visibility in accident reconstruction.
Core Responsibilities
Technical Authority and Lead Expert Role

Serve as lead expert on complex, high exposure accident reconstruction matters nationwide

Perform and oversee advanced reconstruction analyses involving passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and incident scene evaluation

Establish and enforce reconstruction methodologies, analysis protocols, and technical standards across the practice

Review complex reports and analyses, providing oversight and technical direction

Interface with clients to define scope, develop budgets, and communicate technical conclusions clearly
Reporting, Testimony, and Strategic Consulting

Author and review expert reports for complex and high visibility cases

Provide testimony in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

Advise clients on case strategy, technical issues, and investigative approaches
Team Leadership, Strategy, and Collaboration

Lead and mentor accident reconstruction professionals across regions

Partner with executive leadership to define growth strategy, staffing, and market positioning

Coordinate with Regional Expert Leaders to ensure consistency in quality and methodology

Collaborate with biomechanics, engineering, and construction disciplines on integrated investigations

Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of reconstruction professionals

Contribute to business development through client relationships, presentations, and industry engagement
Geographic and Travel Scope

Nationwide responsibility with moderate, purposeful travel for inspections, testimony, team leadership, and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university

Professional Engineer license

ACTAR certification required
-
Extensive experience in accident reconstruction analysis and testimony

Strong deposition and trial testimony experience

Proven leadership in managing teams and complex forensic investigations

Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience leading a practice group or discipline within a forensic or consulting firm.

Technical publications, research, or advanced training related to injury biomechanics or crash dynamics.
