Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Dust surfaces, fixtures, and vents to prevent dust buildup and ensure air quality.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to proper procedures.
- Sanitize high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and communal equipment to promote health safety standards.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when stock needs replenishing.
- Conduct routine checks of facilities to identify maintenance or repair needs related to cleanliness or safety.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining efficiency during shift hours.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties within scheduled shifts.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
