American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level III traumama acute care facility, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification.
-
Acute care Level III trauma facility setting within the Radiology/CT department
-
Unit has 3 GE scanners (one 16-slice and two 64-slice), with 1 dedicated to the ER and 2 for main use
-
Performs CT studies with and without contrast for both ER and inpatient populations
-
Average of 16-24 scans per day
-
Uses MEDITECH EMR and Fuji PACS system
-
12-hour shifts, including Wednesday/Thursday 1200-0000 and every other Friday/Saturday/Sunday
-
Rotating schedule of 36/48 hours per two weeks
-
Works every other weekend and occasional holidays, rotating with permanent staff
-
Call responsibilities required with a 30-minute response time, occurring approximately every 6th week
-
First to float between Bryan and College Station campuses (16 minutes apart) as needed
-
Radiologist available in-house during the day and virtually at night for emergencies
-
Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required

Current BLS certification required
-
ARRT (CT) certification required
-
Texas MRT license required
-
License required if applicable

Must be able to start IVs
-
ER and inpatient CT scanning experience required
-
Responsible for performing CT scans with and without contrast for ER and inpatient patients

May be asked to precept as needed by the unit

Department-specific orientation provided

Rad dosimetry badge provided by the unit

Scrubs must be black and are not provided

Call-outs are strongly discouraged and could result in termination

Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year

Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
