Role Overview
The Fulfillment Operations Specialist owns the day-to-day execution, coordination, and continuous improvement of Starbond's fulfillment operations across multiple sales channels, including B2B, e-commerce, Amazon FBA, customer replacements, and promotional shipments.
This role is responsible for ensuring orders are processed accurately, shipped on time, and supported by efficient systems and documented processes. The Fulfillment Operations Specialist serves as the primary point of coordination between fulfillment, supply chain, customer service, and leadership teams, helping ensure smooth operations with minimal supervision.
Success in this role requires:
- Maintaining high order accuracy and on-time shipment performance across all fulfillment channels
- Building and maintaining documented processes that support operational consistency
- Proactively identifying and resolving fulfillment risks before they impact customers
- Supporting a cross-trained team capable of maintaining operations during absences or workload fluctuations
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Order Fulfillment Management
- Manage end-to-end fulfillment workflows for B2B orders from order receipt through shipment confirmation
- Verify order details, shipping requirements, carrier selections, and inventory availability before shipment
- Coordinate order readiness with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams
- Maintain customer-specific shipping requirements and fulfillment documentation
- Monitor fulfillment performance and ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently
B. E-commerce & Multi-Channel Fulfillment
- Oversee fulfillment operations for Shopify, Amazon FBM, Walmart, eBay, and other sales channels
- Ensure customer replacement orders are processed accurately and promptly
- Coordinate fulfillment of promotional, influencer, and special shipment requests
- Maintain on-time and accurate order fulfillment across all channels
C. Amazon FBA Inventory Transfers
- Coordinate Amazon FBA replenishment shipments and inventory transfers
- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to align inventory availability with replenishment needs
- Prepare and apply Amazon shipment labels accurately
- Maintain shipment records and transfer logs
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively escalate potential stock shortages or fulfillment constraints
D. Team Coordination & Performance Management
- Lead daily fulfillment team meetings to review priorities, workloads, and operational issues
- Support onboarding and cross-training efforts to ensure operational continuity
- Monitor team productivity, attendance, and performance metrics
- Identify training opportunities and recommend process improvements
- Promote accountability and adherence to company policies and operational standards
E. Process Improvement & Documentation
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fulfillment workflows
- Create process documentation that enables consistent execution and efficient training of new team members
- Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements
- Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular process audits
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
F. Operational Communication & Risk Management
- Provide regular operational updates and performance reporting to leadership
- Monitor fulfillment KPIs and identify trends requiring corrective action
- Proactively escalate issues related to inventory, shipping, compliance, staffing, or customer commitments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges
- Participate in operational review meetings and contribute to strategic planning discussions
G. Shipping & Carrier Management
- Manage relationships with shipping carriers and logistics partners
- Evaluate carrier performance based on cost, transit times, reliability, and service quality
- Recommend shipping solutions for domestic, international, and specialized shipments
- Maintain carrier documentation, rate information, and shipping procedures
- Monitor carrier performance metrics and identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements
QualificationsRequired
- 3+ years of experience in fulfillment, warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or order management
- Experience managing multi-channel fulfillment operations (e-commerce, B2B, marketplace platforms, or similar)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience creating and maintaining SOPs, workflows, or process documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and operational software systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Experience:
- Fulfillment: 2 years (Preferred)
