The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting and managing various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, policy implementation, and compliance with labor laws. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Maintain employee records and HR databases accurately and confidentially.
- Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and compensation-related processes.
- Support performance management processes, including evaluations and goal setting.
- Address employee concerns and assist in resolving workplace issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Coordinate employee training, development, and engagement initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review.
- Assist with policy development, updates, and communication.
- Support disciplinary actions, investigations, and termination processes when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR) is preferred.
