Accounts Receivable Representative / Patera Landscaping
Patera Landscaping is a successful, family-owned landscaping company specializing in softscape installations, patios, retaining walls, trees, and custom pools. We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and creating beautiful outdoor spaces for our clients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Representative to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for managing customer payments, maintaining accurate account records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. This role works closely with customers, project managers, office staff, and leadership to ensure jobs are completed accurately, invoiced properly, and paid in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, proactive, and comfortable communicating with customers while maintaining positive relationships.
Responsibilities
- Process customer invoices and payments accurately and efficiently
- Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and past-due accounts
- Follow up on overdue invoices through phone calls, emails, and written communication
- Maintain accurate customer records within the company's CRM system
- Work closely with project managers and office staff to verify job completion and billing accuracy
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
- Assist with month-end reporting and account reconciliations
- Document customer communications and payment arrangements
- Support administrative and accounting functions as needed
Qualifications
- Previous accounts receivable, collections, bookkeeping, or accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to professionally handle difficult conversations regarding payment collection
- Experience working with CRM software and accounting systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
