Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient treatment procedures
- Take digital radiographs, photographs, and impressions/scans as needed
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical supplies
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations
- Provide oral hygiene and appliance care instructions to patients
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Support a positive patient experience from check-in to check-out
Qualifications
- Orthodontic assisting required
- Current Orthodontic Assistant certification and X-ray certification as required by state law
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
