A Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience in numerical weather prediction, satellite product development, and algorithm design.
Track record of effective federal and academic collaborations, including leadership in AI or environmental modeling initiatives.
Commitment to mentoring students and engaging underrepresented communities in STEM.
Extensive experience with managing meteorology, atmospheric sciences, and related technological initiatives (i.e. GOES-R series satellite systems and earth system modeling), as well as educating the public on meteorological applications.
Proven leadership in strategic development, including organizing interdisciplinary teams and securing funding.
History of community engagement, environmental justice advocacy, or translating community needs into scientific and policy-oriented advancements.
