The Takeoff Associate is responsible for reviewing construction plans and specifications to accurately quantify materials, labor, and project scope requirements. This role supports the estimating department by performing detailed quantity takeoffs, organizing project information, and assisting estimators with bid preparation for commercial construction projects.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of reading construction drawings while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from construction plans and specifications.
- Measure and quantify materials including framing, drywall, flooring, ceilings, doors, hardware, insulation, roofing, concrete, site work, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Organize takeoff data and prepare quantity reports for estimators.
- Identify scope items, omissions, inconsistencies, and potential conflicts within project documents.
- Assist estimators in preparing budgets, estimates, and bid proposals.
- Maintain takeoff logs and project tracking spreadsheets.
- Update and maintain material quantity databases.
- Review project addenda and revise takeoffs as necessary.
- Assist in developing bid packages and scope sheets.
- Support project handoff meetings after contract award.
- Maintain organized electronic project files and documentation.
- Follow company standards and procedures.
- Accurate and complete quantity takeoffs.

Monday through Friday in office 8 AM to 5 PM.
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
